Four Categories of Work-Based Learning
Employability Skills Development: focuses specifically on an application of employability skills at the job site where the student may not have completed the appropriately related coursework.
Cooperative Education: allows the student to be on a Work-Based Learning placement at the same time they are taking the related class or have taken the related course.
Internship: requires the student to have completed at least one unit in high school related to the occupational area of the job placement.
Youth Apprenticeship: requires training specific to a post-secondary credential which the employer and student is committed.
