In order to participate in the Work-Based Learning Program students must:
Have parent permission and parent must attend orientation meeting.
A rising 11th or 12th grade student and on track for graduation.
Have a job by the second week of school.
Enrolled or previously enrolled in a Career, Technical, and
Agricultural Education (CTAE) class or Pathway Completer.
Recommended by a CTAE teacher, counselor, or administrator.
Have reliable transportation to work and off campus at the beginning of your WBL Block. (Must immediately leave the school campus.)
Work a minimum of 7.5 hours a week for 1 Block, 1 credit or 15 hours a week for 2 Blocks, 2 Credits.
Have good attendance, academic, and discipline records.
Have a good attitude and good grooming habits.
Attend/participate in WBL Activities, WBL Student’s Monthly Meetings, College Tours, Job Fairs, Job Shadowing, Mock Interviews, etc.
Complete and turn-in all Work-Base Learning Documents.
Develop and maintain a Work-Based Learning Career Portfolio.
Complete Monthly Earnings Report.
Adhere to all Policies and Procedures set by the WBL Program.
