The PTA works together with the parents and teachers at Woods Creek Elementary School (WCES) to create an organization that best serves our children and the staff working with them every day. Becoming of member of the Woods Creek Elementary School (WCES) PTA places you in an important position to support our primary objective - To advocate for your student, as well as all students at WCES. The funds we raise aid a variety of initiatives that support our whole community, including students, teachers and staff. You will support our efforts to build engagement within our community. By joining the PTA at Woods Creek Elementary School (WCES), you also become a member of the NCPTA and the National PTA.

We’re taking a fresh approach to PTA committees this year to make it easier and more fun to get involved. Whether you want to help with one event or several, there's a place for you!
PTA members can join as many—or as few—committees as they’d like. Some are tied to specific events and will only be active for part of the year.
STANDING COMMITTEES - required by NCPTA
Audit – Ensure responsible handling of PTA funds.
Advocacy – Identify and support student, teacher, and school needs to foster academic success and a strong community.
Nominating – Help recruit and slate officers for next school year.
ADDITIONAL COMMITTEES
Community-Based Fundraising – Organize Spirit Nights and secure sponsorships.
School-Based Fundraising - Organize fundraising efforts planned and implemented by the school, like our annual Booster fundraiser and spirit wear sales.
Booster Fundraiser (April 8–May 3)
Hospitality – Organize Teacher Appreciation week, as well as smaller appreciation events for staff and teachers throughout the year.
Teacher Appreciation Week (May 3–7)
Family Programming – Coordinate our annual Sweet Art Dance, as well as other smaller events, like movie nights and bingo.
Sweet Art Dance (February 12)
School Programming – Support events like the 5th Grade Celebration, Wizard World Fair, Book Fair, and school-requested programs.
Book Fair (November 30 - December 11)
Member Engagement – Grow PTA membership and increase involvement.
Yearbook – Assist with design, layout, and development of the WCES yearbook.
