I'm Christopher Wong, a secondary school student passionate about the intersection of computer science and biotech. I'm driven by the potential of computational tools to revolutionize neurological and bioinformatics research and discovery. I enjoy building software solutions to address these challenges, and I'm always eager to learn new technologies and collaborate on exciting projects. In my free time, I explore the latest advancements computational biology.
My other projects:
Advanced Sudoku Algorithm
In 2023, I built a powerful Sudoku engine on Scratch, solving Sudoku puzzles step by step. It is able to solve any puzzles with difficulty [Evil] on Sudoku.com. It can apply basic deduction, pairs and triplet elimination, and also advanced strategies like the X-Wing and XY-Wing methods.
Control your computer like magic!
In 2024, I invented iMouse, a Python script that allows ALS patients to conveniently control the mouse cursor and clicks using virtual hand gestures through the camera. It uses the MediaPipe library for hand tracking and OpenCV for capturing and processing hand movement.
Social Media for mentally ill patients
I also participated in the HK200 programme. I led my team to build an app called 寄語寄念. It provides a powerful social media for mentally ill patients, such as Alzheimer's patients, to communicate and relief symptoms. Our project eventually reached the top 3 finalists.
Building Our Own Community!
As the STEAM team captain, computer society chairman and the robotics team captain, I held major events that promote computer science in my school, like weekly sessions teaching App Inventor. I also designed our society website, sharing games submitted by students.
AI-Powered Education Tool
I participated in the AI project course by HKAGE and iRED Solutions. I led my team to design an application called Botapex, a platform that uses ChatGPT 3.5-turbo to teach DSE chemistry, solving the issue of inadequate distribution of learning resources among Hong Kong students.
The Best Cloud Platformer
In 2022, I launched a game named Pixel Valley, where players can reach the safe ground to complete their journey, collect fruits, chat online, and buy epic skins from the shop. It is one of the top 500 most favourite games in the world (and was even stolen by some foreign websites lol).
Online Battle Royale Game
In high school form 2, I built my first ever online multiplayer game, Smash Royale. Players can fight each other, collect power ups and boosts, and spectate others in the arena. It took me a long time to fully grasp how to make real time connections using cloud variables.
Simulating AI on Scratch
I tested my coding skills by making an AI model simulation on Scratch, that can accurately detect if you are drawing a happy or sad face on the square canvas. The model converts drawings into numerical data, compares them to a training set, and classifies them based on similarity.
NFT Game for Dr. Shirley Yeung
During form 4, I developed a matching game designed to promote Dr. Yeung's NFT artwork. This project demonstrated how I can use my programming skills within the context of innovative business models and sustainable practices, supporting artistic endeavors.
The code for one of the ten screens for my app Regenetic. Took 2 months to make...
If you are using Android, you can download the app and try it out. (As it is not an officially deployed app after all, there will be some security notifications, you may ignore them and proceed)
