My Biggest UNESCO Debate Ever
I led my teammates Charles and Hayden to represent the delegation of Germany, proposing our own AI solutions to protect World Heritage. We utilized our debating and language skills and pushed forward sustainable development goals in front of members of the UNESCO HKA.
Building our 3D Super City
In March 2023, I led my teammates to join the HKIE Future City Modelling Competition. Using a limited version of SketchUp for schools, I built a giant city-scale urban model that incorporates future technologies. The immense model and our detailed work enabled us to win the champion.
Achieving international academics
In April 2024, I received the Outstanding Pearson Learner Award for Highest Mark in the World, for my Edexcel GCE A Level Chinese exam. This proved to me that I am able to achieve world-class competitiveness, enabling me to tackle future projects with greater confidence.
Communication and Public Speaking
In 2024, I collaborated with my teammates in the UNESCO SDG Debating Competition, despite having my IAL exams. We debated topics from GM food to legal driving age. I learned lots of in depth social issues, as well as SDG solutions on them, winning the champion.
My ambition to solve climate change
In 2023, I filed a video with my classmate Drake, that conveyed the impacts of climate change with an interactive sci-fi story. We depicted how a time traveler attempts to warn a scientist in the past, preventing global warming. The video emerged victorious in the HSU SDG competition.
Recognition to my STEAM effort
At the HK International Biotech Conference and STEAM Education Ceremony, I was nominated by my school to receive the HK Outstanding STEAM student award from multiple candidates. It confirmed my effort in the past few years on promoting STEAM, igniting my passion further.
Conquering impossible challenges
I led my team to participate in the PolyU Science Young Talents Competition, tackling missions in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. We communicated very effectively, allocating tasks according to our own strengths, solving one checkpoint after another, finally getting 3rd place.
Solving ASD with medical technology
I joined my team of classmates in the CUHK Health Exhibition Competition, writing a 7000 word thesis on how Gut Flora Imbalance causes Autism Spectrum Disorder. I invented a method of using a DRL model to predict likelihood of children having ASD, using their gut samples.
My hard work in studies
In my Form 5 academic year, I put a lot of effort in my internal exams, achieving 1st in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. I have received 5 years of my school's Stanton Scholarship, exempting full fee of my education, which was invaluable to my family's financial situation.
