P.jila'si, I acknowledge Mi’kma’ki, the traditional territory upon where I serve others. For many thousands of years, the Mi’kmaq Peoples have believed that spirituality is part of everything people do and think. A person's spirituality shows up in their language, behavior, and daily lifestyle. They share their knowledge with a holistic approach to health and well-being in life and death.
I encourage all to hold space for the uniqueness of each person, to be good stewards of Creation, and seek a healing relationship with the Original Peoples of this land, one based in the original intent of peace and friendship.
African Nova Scotian Acknowledgement
´I wish to draw your attention to the brilliance of Black culture in our communities across Mi’kma’ki, now known as Nova Scotia. We are called to honour and celebrate the strength of unity within African NS communities. I encourage you to seek out opportunities to learn and grow in your cultural awareness and I will continue to become anti-racist.
Affirming Space Acknowledgement
I honour and respect all bodies, all abilities, all identities, and all experiences.
Please help me to create a space where people of all gender identities and sexual orientations feel comfortable and accepted.
Let me help you experience the joys and sadness of living through a therapeutic process that connects life, death, and the messy bits between, in a loving light and meaningful manner.
Experiencing life includes death.
