About Me

Hello, I'm Mary Whiteman-Skaggs!

My health and wellness journey began over 25 years ago when I became a nationally registered medical assistant. I’ve always had a passion for improving health and wellness not only for myself, but for others as well.

In the Fall of 2021 while I was doing one of my favorite outdoor activities, my life took a very unexpected turn. I was hiking  and bitten by a tick. I already suffer from autoimmune illness so there were many doctor visits, trips to the ER, lab work, and studies to finally be diagnosed with alpha gal syndrome (AGS).

AGS is a serious, potentially life-threatening allergic condition. There is no treatment or cure for AGS. I must avoid exposure to foods and products that contain alpha gal  (meat, dairy, pork, beauty, and cleaning products) to stay clear of the ER!

I left my full-time job as it took nearly a year to adapt to my new normal. During that time I earned my certified health coaching certificate. I learned everything I could about healthy eating and lifestyle. I am excited to share my knowledge with people of all ages and stages of life.

The changes I applied not only made a difference controlling my AGS but also it has improved my autoimmune illness and inflammation.

Prayer, meditation, outdoor activity, self-care, healthy eating and sleeping habits are all things I have incorporated into my healthy lifestyle.

We are all fearfully and wonderfully made.
