We believe it is important to develop kids social skills from a young age. Each of our kids receive individualized attention from each of our providers. Since we are a small home child care, this is possible! We treat every child as like they are part of our family. We want the kids to feel excited and safe to come to our in home child care.
Infants (3 months-1 years old)
Each of our infants receives personalized care and attention from our dedicated providers. We are not only attentive to their feedings and diaper changes, but we also prioritize encouraging playtime and developmental milestones.
With our youngest infants, we begin with tummy time and assist them in learning how to roll over. As they grow, we gradually introduce them to jumpers and walkers to help build leg strength and coordination. From there, we support them as they learn to stand and take their first steps.
Throughout the day, infants have access to a variety of age-appropriate toys that are safe, interactive, colorful, and textured to stimulate their senses and development.
We will assist with soft food introductions during their transition from bottle to foods!
As part of our care routine, we always ensure each infants diaper is changed min every 2 hours or sooner if soiled/full and each infant has a clean diaper before pickup.
Toddlers (1-2 years old)
Children in this age group are in a wonderful stage of transition from infants to toddlers! Each day, they are introduced to age-appropriate learning materials that help prepare them for the toddler stage.
They engage in early motor skill activities and simple puzzles to support their cognitive and physical development. We also guide them through arts and crafts, along with other hands-on activities that encourage creativity and exploration.
During mealtimes, we assist your child in learning how to use a spoon, working hand-in-hand with the support you provide at home to reinforce these important self-help skills.
Toddlers (2- 3 years old)
Each of our toddlers receives special attention, especially during this exciting stage when they are exploring and discovering the world around them.
For our 2- 3-year-olds, we begin with activities that develop fine motor skills, such as completing puzzles, sorting shapes, and more. Every day, we sing engaging songs like the ABCs, Days of the Week, Months of the Year, and a counting video from 1 to 10. These activities help introduce early learning concepts in a fun, age appropriate way. Circle time is an amazing way to sit down and relax and listen to stories or go over flash cards!
After each lesson, we ask a series of simple questions to reinforce learning, either by inviting children to participate or through interactive games that make review time exciting.
Once a child turns 2 and has begun potty training at home, we are happy to support their potty training journey at daycare as a courtesy. We start with a toddler sized floor potty and gradually transition to using the regular toilet (with secure toilet seat). To encourage success, we use positive reinforcement, such as giving stickers for progress and effort.
