Because this podcast is a Girl Scout project, we thought it would be fun to include activities for badges that relate to the person the episode is about. For this episode, we've decided that the Junior Business Owner Badge, the Brownie Budding Entrepreneur Badge, and the Daisy Toy Business Designer Badge would be best. If you aren't a Girl Scout, you're welcome to complete these activities, they're just designed for the specific badges. Here are these steps to earn the badges:

Junior Business Owner Badge:

1. Explore a business you might like to start one day. Think about some hobbies you have right now. How would those hobbies turn into a business idea? If you like reading, would you open up a bookstore? If you like making art, would you open up your own art supply shop? Use the business idea you come up with to help you with the next steps.

2. Learn the basics of running a business. Think about a small business near you. Try and see if you or your troop could go visit and ask the owner of the business how they run their business day to day.

3. Find out what kind of support is available for small-business owners. Look up benefits that small business owners in your state have. Look at some of the benefits in other states after and compare, and see which state is better for the type of business you want to own.

4. Investigate what makes great customer service. Find some businesses that have good customer service reviews. Investigate their policies regarding customer service and see how you could apply those to your business.

5. Understand the importance of customer research. When you develop a product, you have to get feedback in order for your product to be good. With all the information you have about your business, create a business pitch; pretend you're on Shark Tank. Get feedback from you leaders and other troop members about your product.

Brownie Budding Entrepreneur Badge:

1. Come up with an idea that makes life better. Think of something that inconveniences you in your day-to-day life. Then, think of a robot that could fix that problem. Draw your robot on a piece of paper and add some fun slogans for your product on your paper. 

2. When everyone in your troop is finished drawing their robot and coming up with their slogans, share with the group one at a time. When somebody finishes presenting, they should get one compliment about their robot and one idea for the robot to change for the better.

3. Improve your idea. With the feedback you received from your troop, use that to create a new drawing and slogan for your robot.

4. Share how your idea works. Share your new robot with your troop, just like you did the first time, but this time, you only get compliments. 

5. Share your idea with an audience. Pretend your're on Shark Tank. Your troop leader(s) will be the sharks, and you have to pitch your robot to them.

Daisy Toy Business designer badge:

1. Come up with an idea for a toy. Draw your own barbie. Give her a name and a few outfit options. What career does she have? Does she have a pet? Give her a few hobbies too.

2. Make your idea even better. Think of your barbie's backstory. Where did she grow up? Is she friends with some other barbies that other girls in your troop made up? How did she decide on her career? How did she become interested in her hobbies?

3. Pitch your idea. Everyone should go around in a circle and share their barbies with each other.
