This podcast is about women throughout history who are not always recognized for the amazing things they've done. This podcast is a Silver Award project for Girl Scouts. The purpose of this project is to give younger girls positive female role models. The women in these episodes are people who have done great things but aren't always credited as they should be for their inventions and achievements. What is a Silver Award?
The Silver Award recognizes a Girl Scout community service project that has taken at least 50 hours to complete and leaves a lasting impact. The Silver Award is the highest award a Cadette can earn. Cadettes are Girl Scouts in grades 6-8. There are three higher awards: the Bronze Award, the Silver Award, and the Gold Award. The older you get, the more requirements there are for each award and the more hours of service you must complete.

This podcast is made by two Cadette Girl Scouts (Olivia and Zaiya). We are in GSCNC, which means Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital. This also happens to be the largest council in the nation.
