Exhibiting women's suffrage research at the Library of Congress, 2019
I am a second-year Master of Theological Studies student at Harvard Divinity School, where I study the history of Christianity. I am primarily interested in evangelicalism and constructions of race in nineteenth- and twentieth-century America, especially African American religious history and its intersections with abolition and civil rights. I plan to pursue a career in archival or public history work after completing my degree in May 2023.
I have previously completed several public-facing research projects: a digital mapping project on religion and abolition in Boston while at Harvard Divinity School (2021), a women's suffrage and dress reform teaching guide for the Library of Congress (2019), and a physical museum exhibit on B'nai B'rith, the largest Jewish civic organization, for the American Jewish Archives (2017).
I hold a bachelor's degree in History and African and African American Studies from the University of Memphis (2020).
