This glorious woman from Ontario, Canada is a true gem and positive ray of light in the cannabis industry here in Canada.
This talented 57- year- old woman has been an advocate for cannabis for many years and a seasoned consumer of almost 42 years!
She runs a successful website with a curated store for all your cannabis needs.
Mimi is your gal. She is friendly, fun, and knowledgeable as heck.
I have used Cannabis for 42 years, it wasn’t even pot then it was “grass” I remember I was 15 and we had a creek that we all hung out at and smoked cigarettes so our parents would not see us, I grew up in Kingston, Ontario. I remember someone bringing “grass” that day and we smoked it from a pipe, I remember the feeling of euphoria was kind of like drinking and with me not having great luck with alcohol (Always getting sick) I knew right away this was going to be my choice of intoxicant for life, it wasn’t much, much later until I realized it was medicine.
Being such an avid user for so many years and when all of the legalization conversations starting coming up I truly wondered if due to my age I would have a chance to participate in the industry.
I spent all of my life in Hotel Restaurant Management and at the age of 50 I decided to make a career change and I started working for a company that helped people get access to Medical Cannabis. Once I started learning more and more about Medical I knew I wanted to do more, helping people my own age and older really opened my eyes to the stigma and I knew that if we could bridge generations somehow through Cannabis we could go along ways to ending the stigma.
I love the fact that I get to work with people of all ages in this industry, I have always been young at heart and the younger people in the industry in turn make me feel young and I really enjoy that aspect of it.
I have lots of favourite strains: I love a great Hybrid so I have to say White Widow is my all time favourite, I use lots of 1:1 oil so I think ‘balance” is the key to my well being! I use a lot of balanced products!
My advice to women in this industry is to work together, we all have different strengths and collectively we are a powerhouse. Don’t be jealous or unkind there is room for everyone, besides it a huge waste of time!!!! Spend your time wisely and lift others, the more you lift the more you will be lifted! If we all had the same opinions life would be very boring, so learn to accept other people’s opinions and learn to be mature about it.
If you work hard your time will come, but remember you get what you give.
