Women in Civil Engineering

March 1st to 7th 2026 marks the National Women in Construction Week. March 8th is also the International Women’s Day. This year’s theme for the week is “Level Up. Build Strong”. As future Civil Engineering professionals, construction will always be a close part of our profession and our future. To expand this celebration beyond construction, since 2025 the Department of Civil Engineering in collaboration with EllisDon, hosts a number of activities focused on “Women in Civil Engineering”. Together, we can highlight, support, and amplify the role of women in civil engineering profession; together, we can level up and build strong!

• One-Minute Video Competition | Competition launch: Friday, March 6, 2026, Submission Deadline: Sunday, April 5th, 2026 @ 11:59 pm

• Dinner and Speaker Event + Announcement of Winners | Thursday, April 9, 2026 @ 6:00 pm

All activities are free and open to everyone, and people of all genders are encouraged and welcome to attend.
