About

A little bit about me.

Hi! My name is Kayla (she/her) I am a Full Spectrum Doula, Sexual Reproductive Health Educator, & Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. I am proudly the current President & a Board Member of the local Non-Profit, Green River Doula Network. I'm also a parent to a bright, feisty, little girl with Williams Syndrome. I love to keep a high energy, positive outlook on life which I enjoy bringing into the relationships I build with my clients. I decided to become a Doula shortly after my own birth experience, I was offered support from many Doulas & at the time I had no idea what Doulas really did! After watching the very popular documentary "The Business of Being Born" I was highly intrigued, to say the least, at that moment I knew I wanted to be a Doula. I have been around pregnancy, birth, babies, reproductive & sexual health experiences my whole life. I was always (& still am) the person friends would come to for sex & menstrual cycle related questions, so this path just feels so natural to me & I truly feel at home in my role as a Full Spectrum Doula & Sexual Reproductive Health Educator. Education & Advocacy is very important to me when it comes to your Reproductive & Sexual health & is an integrative part of my services. I support all birth plans, pregnancy outcomes & welcome all people. I trained & certified with Doula Trainings International in their Full Spectrum Doula training, have taken additional trainings with: Empty Arms on Accompanying Bereaved Parents & Subsequent Pregnancies, Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts for Sexuality Education, Doula Trainings International for Reproductive Health, Woman's Choice Perinatal Services for Placenta Encapsulation, I am an Evidence Based Birth Professional Member & have experience as a volunteer on the Postpartum Support International Warmline.
