Elevate Wokingham is an information, advice, and guidance service for 16 to 18 year olds in Wokingham Borough, offering support for those who are not in education, employment or training (and young people aged up to 24 with an EHCP), also known as NEET.

The next course starts 23 September and enrolments are Friday 12 September between 1- 3pm at Reading College, if anyone can’t make this and if spaces are still available there will be a second one on the 19 September.

Mace Information Session - Thursday 18 September, 2-4pm, Wokingham Library
Mace will be running an information session at Wokingham Library, in the Carnival Leisure Hub on Thursday 18 September between 2 and 4pm.
This session will provide further details on the Construction Skills course but they are also keen to welcome 16+ young people who are also interested in a career in construction to discuss possible future opportunities.

The Wokingham Volunteer Centre is a charity which provides support to those who live in and around Wokingham Borough to find the right volunteer role for them. It works with community, voluntary and charitable groups across the borough to help them recruit volunteers.
Next month, it will be holding a Volunteer Recruitment Fair on Saturday 11 October from 10am to 1pm at Wokingham Town Hall. There will be a variety of different organisations, looking for all kinds of volunteers; there will be something for everyone!
Attending charities include ABC to Read, First Days Children's Charity, Wokingham Foodbank, Citizens Advice Wokingham and Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue - among many more.
The event is free and there is no need to book. If you are considering volunteering, turn up and have an informal chat with some of the amazing local charities and see how you can get involved. Volunteering can be a great way to build up skills and experience whilst jobs searching, or when looking to progress your career. The Volunteer Fair is open to young people as well as adults.
