Special Issue dedicated to Professor Alexander Plakhov
on the occasion of his 65th anniversary

The Special Issue is expected to be included in Volume 4 of the journal, scheduled for publication in November 2026.
Announcing a Special Issue of the Journal of Convex Analysis in honor of 65th anniversary of Alexander Plakhov, celebrating his remarkable contributions to the field of mathematics, this special issue invites submissions covering a spectrum of topics close to Professor Plakhov's heart, including billiards and optimal mass transport, optimal control, and optimization, convex geometry and calculus of variations, dynamical systems and mathematical modeling, applications of mathematics in mechanics, the Kakeya needle problem, and others.
The Journal of Convex Analysis, founded in 1994, has published already 30 annual volumes each one consisting of 4 issues. The journal is abstracted and indexed in Mathematical Reviews/MathSciNet; Scopus, Science Citation Indexes of the ISI; Zentralblatt MATH/Mathematics, and other scientific databases.
The papers submitted will be considered as potential full-paper publications in this Special Issue subject to peer reviews, and should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions will be refereed with the same standards as leading international journals. The main criteria for acceptance are the quality and originality of the contribution.

Only unpublished material can be accepted, and authors may not republish their paper in the same or similar form.
