All presentations must be delivered in English as this is the official language of the conference.
Each presentation has an allocated time of 20 minutes. We recommend spending 17 minutes presentation and 3 minutes for discussion or questions.
A Windows portable computer, with internet access, and a projector will be at your disposal.
You can submit your presentation slides online before the conference (dmat-wodca2025@ua.pt). However, please your file on a memory stick in case any technical issues arise. We recommend creating the slides in Portable Document Format (PDF) (for example, from Beamer), or PowerPoint slides.
If you have not sent us your slides beforehand, you are requested to upload your presentation on the computer in the Session room, 10 minutes before the start of the session.
All presenters will be introduced to the audience by a Session Chair.
The poster should show the main results and conclusions of the paper.
The poster should contain the name of the presentation, ths list of authorsm and the title (possibly with logos of the Workshop).
During poster session, the presenter should stay next to their poster in case anyone wishes to ask you any questions.
We recommend providing small envelopes for distributing your business cards and collecting business cards from those who request additional information. You may also consider providing copies of a short summary of your presentation for distribution.
Authors should bring their poster with them to the conference as no printing services are available at the conference venue.
The poster can be up to 130 cm high x 90 cm wide. (51 in. high x 35½ in. wide)
Pins for attaching the posters to the stands will be provided.
Please arrive at the session room 10 minutes before the start of the session you will be chairing. Speakers should also arrive 10 minutes early and provide you with a copy of their presentations (via email or USB flash drive) for uploading onto the computer. Be sure to introduce yourself to the speakers upon their arrival.
If you encounter any issues during the conference, please don’t hesitate to ask our staff for assistance at the registration table.
Your main role will be to ensure that the session runs on time. Each speaker has 20 minutes including discussion or questions. If a speaker exceeds their allocated time, you should politely but firmly stop the presentation.
Before each speaker presents, your role will be to introduce them to the audience and remind everyone that all questions and interruptions should be reserved for the Q&A portion following the presentation. After each talk, thank the speaker, encourage applause, and open the floor to questions.
If a speaker fails to show up for their talk, advise the audience to attend a talk in an alternative seminar room. Please, do not move the next talk forward.
