This is Alden's second year with their ATLAS team. After the first roll out of the surface pros in the 2018-2019 school year, the team has come a far way from helping students with computer problems. The team has successfully run classes for teachers and students alike, set up a school technology store, run school events, created a team website, and much more!
The Techsperts of Lancaster High School are students who work as “tech ambassadors” to the high school and several of the elementary schools as well. They assist teachers, administrators, and other students with technology tasks small and large, from changes in passwords to Chromebook maintenance. They develop and present informational programs in the District and throughout the community, serving as day-to-day experts in technology as inquiries arise. Our program provides a unique approach to technology professional development for teachers and administrators, with the Techsperts earning the respect of the Lancaster High School community.
The Holland Student Help Desk is in it's infancy at Holland High School. The team is currently working with the Holland Help Desk and Erie 1 Managed Service to learn how to support faculty and students. As Holland is a small rural school, it is a fantastic resource for the district to have. They continue to find themselves and develop the program as we move forward.
Wildcat STAT is an emerging program at Depew High School. Members of the Student Technology Ambassador Team are developing their technology and leadership skills while assisting their school community. Students continue to work on creating tutorials, repairing chromebooks and assisting students and staff with chromebook issues and instructional technology tools.
