Starting at the Marquis Drive visitors Centre, take the path to the North (Heritage Trail towards Rugeley so the new playground is on your left hand side. This path leads out onto Marquis Drive, turn right here and follow the light blue marker posts with the Red, White and Blue circular symbols on. The first part of this trail takes you along marquis Drive which is closed off to most traffic, until you see a post that takes you right, here you will see a large stone on your left hand side which marks the former entrance to the camp. A map leathlet of the walk is available from the visitors centre.
DISTANCE: 2.0 Miles
TERRAIN: Easy, Good paths, mostly flat with one very slight hill.
THE WALK: Starting at Marquis Drive visitors centre, facing the visitors centre so the playground is directly behind it, turn to your right and follow the path around to the left, not taking the path with the toilets. Continue along this path (Signposted Rugeley on the Heritage Trail and the light blue RAF marker post) Once at Marquis Drive, turn right and follow this path, you will see a light blue marker post with arrows directing the path. Very well signposted, there was only one on route that we nearly missed just before a car park, noticed it and turned right.
