LEPT is the online learning environment provided by the Royal College of Pathologists for trainees. It is used to complete workplace-based assessments and multi-source feedback.
There are two LEPT systems currently in place with arrangements in place to transfer all trainees to the new LEPT system
It is important that LEPT has an accurate record of the people responsible for your training:
Your Educational Supervisor;
Your Training Programme Director, who will be Dr Kanwal Sikand
Your Head of Pathology School, who is Dr Thirumala Krishna.
All ARCPs are currently being carried out virtually.
You will receive an email in advance of your ARCP detailing the exact procedure to be followed, and which documents need to be submitted. You should follow this very closely.
Any information contained within this email supersedes the information below.
It is essential that all supporting documentation is submitted electronically by the deadline.
In general, you will need to complete:
ESAF - both your mid-year and end-of-year forms should be uploaded to LEPT system
ESSR - can be generated electronically on the LEPT system
Workplace-based assessments (WBAs)
Logbook numbers for your training year
You should also email a completed copy of the RCPath ARCP Decision Aid appropriate for your stage of training to the ARCP panel in advance. This will be signed at the ARCP and should be sent to the College.
After your ARCP, the outcome will be announced on LEPT. You should forward this to RCPath if your LEPT has not been updated to new year.
