Apart from financial assistance, IIUM also provides the IIUM Mahabbah Programme for students who are in need, either they fall in the poor category or simply ran out of pocket money for the next meal, or having hardship for doing assessments. IIUM Mahabbah Programme was launched in February 2016 by IIUM President, Tan Sri Rais Yatim. It is an effort done to help the students of IIUM who are in need by providing them with free meals with additional laptop assistance (subject to availability). It is hoped that this can at least lessen the financial burden that the students are facing and help them to get the essential daily meals to keep them going and focused on their studies.
