Kim Swan

Voice Faculty

Kimberly Swan is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, holding two degrees in vocal performance. She has appeared in supportive and leading roles in operas and musicals for over twenty-five years; Some of Kimberly’s most memorable roles include: Donna Anna in Mozart’s, Don Giovanni, Helena in Britten’s, Midsummer’s Night Dream, Clorinda in Rossini’s, La Cenerentola, Adele in Johann Strauss’, Die Fledermaus, and Oscar in Verdi’s, Un Ballo in Maschera.

Since returning to the area, Kimberly has established both private and professional vocal studios that provide individual lessons to more than sixty students. Ms. Swan frequently appears in the Metro-Detroit area as a concert soloist and an operatic soprano. A specialist in the classical art song repertoire, Ms. Swan has given recitals and performed numerous concerts for such organizations as the Dearborn Orchestral Society, the Grosse Pointe Chamber Music Society, the Hungarian Cultural Center, the Chamber Music Series of the Scarab Club, The Verdi Opera, The Bellini Opera, Musica da Camera, and the Tuesday Musicale.

Kimberly currently is one of the Instructors of Voice for the Music Program at Walled Lake Western as well as the vocal coach and accompanist for the Livonia Civic Chorus.
