WW NFT Situation
Interview 1:
Anonymous 1: Hi, I just saw your message on the Feral discord about DM-ing you with info. I work at WildWorks. I would probably lose my job if they knew I said anything So please don't put my name anywhere. A lot of my coworkers and I are just as upset and scared about this situation as you guys are.
WLHQ: Bet you are scared. This is just very disappointing on what happened.
Anonymous 1: It really is. So many of us on the dev team love the potential of Feral and want to keep working on it and make it better. But they really have pulled almost everyone off of Feral tasks and put us to work on Cinder stuff instead.
WLHQ: So you were one of Fer.al's Develpers?
Anonymous 1: I worked directly on Feral, yeah.
WLHQ: Ouch that hurts just by hearing it. I would say it hurts you more than me just hearing about it.
Anonymous 1: I had no idea Clark was going to do this AMA this weekend It breaks my heart to see how upset everyone is about what's going on.
WLHQ: It's a disaster dumpster fire.
WLHQ: No idea that this was actually happening period.
Anonymous 1: My hope is that if Cinder does work then we can use the improved code and pipelines to fix some of the issues with Feral. That game needed so much more polish on the basic stuff, but they put us to work churning out hundreds of sanctuary items and accessories and avatars instead.
WLHQ: That sounds off. I would've agreed to a longer closed beta. Avatars I've heard cause most issues with game performance.
WLHQ: So I have a question. What is the most unoptimized things right now in Fer.al?
Anonymous 1: I can't really speak for everyone else's perspective, but from my point of view, it is really concerning that there are issues with making purchases. The way we create avatars is also a pain to deal with. When we have bugs about decals or accessories; there are about 10 different ways it could go wrong, so it's hard to nail down how to fix it.
WLHQ: The bugs sound like utter chaos.
WLHQ: Another question. What is your vision of Fer.al if it ever comes off the ground from its current state? I understand what you guys are going through & I think this game is being rushed then issues like this do occur.
Anonymous 1: I would have loved to finally introduce the queens and show off more of the lore. Our lead writer put so much work into Feral and only a fraction of it went into the game. I think PvE would have been awesome. The game needs more actual gameplay and challenge. I want accessories to actually give your character different abilities. The game needs an actual party system, and more fun things to officially support role-play mechanics or the whole "reality show" idea the game started with. Us devs are rooting for Feral to someday live up to its potential.
Anonymous 1: I'm also curious to know from your perspective, what would make Feral awesome. If you would like to share that. Or like, some of the community's biggest issues and requests for the game.
WLHQ: I'll be glad to answer that when I have that information.
Interview 2:
Anonymous 2: Being honest feral is just a sinking ship. Wildworks has lied to us how many times in the past and we are expected to believe Feral will be alright? It is one thing to mess up and show people that you will change but Wildworks has not done that, at least in my opinion. Questions were avoided during the Clark Stacey AMA that could’ve cleared several things up. I expect the Feral team to get pulled onto the Cinder project, leaving Feral in the shape it is currently in to never get out of early access, or for it to completely be a scrapped project despite the fan base that has backed the Feral project from the beginning.
WLHQ: And its not even the developers fault for this for the most part. They can't control on where they go but, I do see your point.
Anonymous 2: I feel so bad for the devs, but they’re just doing their job to get paid, you know?
WLHQ: That is very true.
