Dedicated in 2019, TJHS 2.0 is currently the newest building in the district. With the aging TJHS 1.0 on its way out plans for a new high school started in the early 2000's with many issues during planning, space was found in 2015. When planning for the building, a committee made up from the community was formed, they were in charge to aid in the architect. When designing the school, the building could only build so many classrooms. With that in mind the architects made little rooms called "pods" which can be used as small flexible instrustion rooms for group work. They can also be turned into classroom when needed for more room. With planning for a new building, come challenges. Construction wasnt completed till 2019 while the targeted date was 2018. This was due to the coal mines that ran deep below the surface previously.
