"The Seven Wonders of the World has historically been a listing of seven sites known to the Ancient Greeks as the most notable locales in their known world. Since then, many have developed lists of the "modern" Seven Wonders of the World. " With this introduction, the ThoughtCo. website presents several of those lists along with the Ancient Seven Wonders. One of the more intriguing lists was developed by the New 7 Wonders organization. using global internet voting. The seven new wonders were announced on July 7, 2007 (07.07.07). Here they are. (Images are from the Travel Channel website, which cites various sources for the images and presents the list "without ranking".)
