Founder of Without Compromise & In-House Writer.

Michael Johnson is an actor/writer from Glenrothes, Fife. He graduated from Queen Margaret University in 2022 with a BA Honours Degree in Acting & Performance, and has since then focused on creating his work. He was awarded the Creative Edinburgh Development Award for his work with the company.
Previous work includes;  Edward, 'The Hollow' (2021), Paul, 'Cicely & David' (2022) and Soldier/Ensemble, 'Samlome' (2023).

Creative Director & Social Media Manager

Lucy is a Dundee born actor & director, she moved to Edinburgh to complete her BA Honours in Acting & Performance at Queen Margaret University, graduating in 2022.

‘Wish You Were Here’ marked her professional directorial debut, having previously supported various productions as an Assistant Director. Past productions include ‘A Comedy of Errors’ (Shakespeare), ‘The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning’ (Tim Price) & ‘The Hollow’ (Agatha Christie)
Lucy is also the Assistant Producer for BBD Productions, having joined the team for the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe season. She has loved working with this established company over the festival period.

Creative Producer & Communications Officer 

Meghan is an Edinburgh-based creative, she is currently expanding her knowledge with an MFA in Theatre Directing at Edinburgh Napier University. Meghan is very passionate about her work with Without Compromise Theatre as it blends her interests in New Writing and contemporary social issues.

She has previously undertaken a number of Directing and Producing opportunities, including 'Cicely & Davis' (2022), 'Pilgrimage' (2023) and 'Wish You Were Here' (2024).

Lighting & Set Designer

Graduating from Queen Margaret University in 2023 with a degree in Drama, Danny Menzies is now a freelance theatre maker, designer, tech & musician with a focus on intertextuality and surrealism. He also helps run The Forbidden Zone, an alternative music and arts collective based in Edinburgh.
Previous works includes; sound designer for Dracume Theatre and their production of 'The Spilling Cup', Stage Team for the Traverse Theatre Fringe Fest 2023 and Theatre in the Garden's 'Winters Tale' as a designer.

Sound & Prop Designer

Loz Thom is a freelance theatre maker based in Edinburgh who studied BA (Hons) Drama at Queen Margaret University and graduated in 2023. Loz focuses on sound design, set design, acting and writing within theatre. Over the past year, Loz has been working with Without Compromise Theatre as Sound Designer and Props Maker for their productions of "Wish You Were Here." Loz is delighted to continue working with WCT this year as they bring their new play "Derby Day" to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
