WishShelf Terms of Use
1. About WishShelf
WishShelf is a book wishlist and bookshelf-scanning app designed to help users manage books they want to find and identify possible wishlist matches on real-world bookshelves.
2. AI Scanning and Accuracy
WishShelf uses AI, text recognition and image-analysis technology to assist with bookshelf scanning. Scan results are intended as a helpful guide only and may occasionally miss books, identify books incorrectly or return false matches. Users should confirm results where accuracy is important.
3. Free Features
Core WishShelf features may be available free of charge, including wishlist management and bookshelf scanning. Free users may receive a limited number of AI Highlight Scans each calendar month. Current limits and included features are shown within the app and may be updated as WishShelf develops.
4. WishShelf Premium
WishShelf Premium may include benefits such as unlimited AI Highlight Scans, an ad-free experience and access to selected new or enhanced features.
Premium is currently offered as an auto-renewing subscription with monthly and annual options. The price and billing period shown in the app and in Google Play at the time of purchase will apply.
5. Subscription Billing and Renewal
Premium subscriptions purchased through the Android app are processed through Google Play. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next renewal date. Users can manage or cancel their subscription through their Google Play subscription settings.
Cancelling stops future renewal but does not normally remove Premium access immediately; access continues until the end of the current paid subscription period. �

6. Refunds
Purchases and refund requests made through Google Play are subject to Google Play’s applicable payment and refund policies and any consumer rights that apply in the user’s location. WishShelf does not limit any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded. �

7. Restore Purchases
Where supported, users may restore an existing Premium entitlement associated with their app-store purchase. Restoring a purchase does not create a new subscription or charge the user again.
8. Changes to Premium or the Service
WishShelf may add, remove or improve features as the app develops. Where changes affect an active paid subscription, they will be handled in accordance with applicable app-store rules and consumer law.
9. Acceptable Use
Users must not misuse WishShelf, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or accounts, or use the service in a way that is unlawful or harmful.
10. Availability
WishShelf aims to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, technical issues, internet connectivity and third-party services may occasionally affect functionality.
11. Third-Party Services
WishShelf relies on third-party services including Google/Firebase, AI and image-analysis providers, Google Play and RevenueCat. Those services may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Privacy
Use of WishShelf is also subject to the WishShelf Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information and uploaded content are handled.

14. Updates to These Terms
