One glorious morning,I brought breakfast to my mom, but she has red spots all over her body. She is sick with Polka virus. If the virus runs its course, she will turn into a Polka Dotted Mat. The only cure is Prehistoric Carrot Fern Soup!
I did my special whistle for my dove friend and called for Mama Raccoon. After she got there and heard about the problem, she told me she knew a Dolphin who knows where a portal is. Mama Raccoon said, "Great! I know you know where the ocean is, so please guide us." "Sure thing!" exclaimed. "Follow me."
But when we get there, a dolphin with a crystal heart on forehead greeted us and said, "Hello, my name is Ruby, how can I help you?" When we told her what had happened, she showed us to the obsidian portal underwater. Mama Racoon exclaims, "Wow, we can breathe underwater! This is enchanted!"
"Exactly!" added Ruby, "There is an enchantment on it for land animals to be able to access the portal!" "Oh okay," says Mama Racoon. Zum! We enter the portal. The last thing we heard was Ruby saying, “Good luck!” Oof!
"Cool," I declare. "There are dinosaurs here!" exclaims Mama Raccoon. Rustle, rustle. "Oh no," I shout, "Do you hear that? Maybe a dinosaur wants to eat us for lunch!" "Ooh, ouch!" says Kila, who just popped out. "Sorry, I'm late!" "Yow," I shout, "You landed on my tail!"
"Grrr," growls a scary dinosaur looming over us. "Ahhh!" everyone screams as the dinosaur emerges out into the open. The dinosaur has dark black spines, a dark green body, and very sharp claws. Its teeth were as white as snow and sharp enough to cut through metal. Everybody was frozen in place in fear of being sliced apart.
"What are YOU doing? Maybe you will be a decent for lunch," hissed the dinosaur as he pointed to Mama Raccoon. He has three claws on each paw, but they all looked intimidating. Mama Raccoon pleas, "But we just need to find the ingredients for a soup to cure Hinderbell's mom!" "What soup?" he demands. "What is it for?"
I say, “It’s a soup to cure my mom before she turns into a polka-dotted mat!”
Suddenly, a gigantic pine cone bonks Mama Raccoon on the head. Bonk! "Ouch!" yells Mama Raccoon, "I am sure there are some what-cha-call-its around here!" "Conifer seeds," corrects Snapper." "Ancient conifer seeds, to be precise."
"Errrmmm!" Mama Raccoon groans and shakes her head. "Yeah, what-cha-call-its!"
"No, ancient conifer seeds! Conifer seeds!" retorts Snapper. Plonk! A golden conifer seed lands perfectly into Mama Raccoon's hand mason jar. "Oh, that's fast. Now I can move on to the second ingredient," I say.
"Okay, but that ingredient is heavily guarded by mosquitoes and fish," warns Snapper. My eyebrows raise in surprise, "What do you mean? Guarded by mosquitoes and fish? Really?"
"Trust me, it's going to be hard," Snapper replies.
"I have a plan of how to handle this. We can do it!" chimes in Kila. “By the way, Mama Raccoon, we’re going to need your artistic ability.”

I distract the coelacanths and to provide time for everyone to cross the stream. We scramble across the river just as the coelacanths are emerging to check the rocks.
Splash! Splash! That's our signal to head to the melon patch. "The mosquitoes will be here soon, so hurry!'' Snapper exclaims.
Shake, shake, shake! I start to shake trees as Snapper, Mama Raccoon, and Kila start to gather juice. I lure the mosquitoes to my direction who fly quickly to catch me, and Snapper jumps and roars at the last second to save me! "Thanks!" I call to Snapper as we escape.
"Two ingredients down, two to go. Now it's dew drop time!" I exclaim.

The next day, we trot off to the Field of Dew Drops. Then suddenly, boom, boom, boom! “Ahh! What was that!?” Kila shouts. At once a big triceratops appeared and greeted them. “Hi, my name is Larry. What are you doing here?” “He sounds friendly,” Mama Raccoon whispers. “Excuse me,” Snapper interrupts. “May you please lead us to the Field of Dew Drops?”
“Well, you are already at the Field of Dew Drops, but are you and the rest of your gang troodons?” Larry asks while narrowing his eyes suspiciously.
“Um, we’re not,” I answered questioningly.
“Are you sure? You could be in disguise.” Larry retorts.
“Okay, get on with the troodon thing! We’re not troodons, whatever they are!” exclaims Snapperimpatiently.
“Troodons are the number one enemy of the field. I’m the guardian here!” Larry explains.
“We’re here to get a dew drop to cure our moms’ polka virus. Please let us in!” I plead.
“O-ho! Not just any dew drop you need but the golden dew drop of the day.” Larry says, looking excited. “The golden machine will help us predict where the dew drop will be. Farti Dew Gas is right over here!”
“Farti Dew Gas?” I ask, trying not to laugh as we walk over to the golden machine.
Click. Clack. Clop. I am Farti Dew Gas. I am here to predict the golden dew drop. Beep. Beep. Beep.
The dew drop today will appear at 6:00 A.M. sharp and disappear at 6:08 A.M. It will be at the northwest pile of lettuce leaves. Good luck. Fart. Pfft. Beep.
“Northwest? I have a compass to lead us there! Let’s go,” I say and pull the compass out of my knapsack.
“Don’t forget the map of the field before you go!” Larry adds, handing the map to Snapper.

It’s precisely 5:58 A.M. Two minutes until the golden dew drop reveals itself! As we start unpacking the bottles to contain the dew drop, Snapper is sharpening his claws and is ready to cut the leaf. Everyone is relying on him for the perfect snip to collect the most fragile ingredient. Mama Raccoon will bottle it with her gentle hands, and Kila will catch the leaf before it falls in the bottle and ruins the delicate dew drop. I’ll gently put the bottle into my knapsack, and we will have accomplished our goal!
6:00! 6:00! 6:00! chimes Kila’s hummingbird alarm.
“Oh, no, are you ready?”Kila asks.
“Yes, we are!” everyone exclaims and starts the plan.
Snip! Snapper cuts the stem. Plop! The dew drop falls in. Swoop! Kila catches the leaf. Clack, click, clack. Mama Raccoon bottles it. Swoosh! I put it in the backpack. A light rain begins as we finish, and a rainbow emerges. We were just in time.
6:08! 6:08! 6:08! chimes the alarm again, and we cheer! HOORAY!
“Next stop - The Valley of Sunshine!” Snapper says cheerfully. “I was a former guardian there. I know that place like the back of my claw.”
A few minutes later we arrived at the valley. Everyone said “Wowwww” in unison.
“This place is amazing!” Mama Raccoon shouts as she sees a sapphire butterfly.
As we glance around, we notice marvelous ruby acacias, blue Yoshini cherries, emerald American chestnuts, golden birch, onyx dragon trees, and diamond Kaikomako trees.
“What’s that tree over there?” I exclaim, pointing to the dazzling diamond tree.
“Oh, that is the diamond Kaikomako tree. It is used to summon the philosopher’s stone in a magical mixture.”
“Cool,” I blurt.
Snapper says, “Okay, if we want to get the five scents of flowers, we need to find the Dragon Wizard, Asegreth. Asegreth is a very powerful and wise wizard, and please be very careful with your manners around him!”
Poof! White sparkles and smoke appear and in an instant, an emerald green Dragon in a red cloak appears next to Snapper.
“Hello, dear travelers, and welcome to the Valley of Sunshine. My name is Asegreth. I’m the wizard your friend was speaking of. Now, let’s see, you were saying you wanted to find the five scents of flowers? I can show you where they are, but I will have to cast a memory erasing charm on each of you in case you are thieves.”
“Oh no, I don’t need the charm,” says the small pig behind us. “I will surely not remember what happens tonight.”
“Wait, what?” Mama Raccoon exclaims, confused.
“Huhh,” gasps Asegreth with a surprised look on his face. “You are Sir Iwantmore Pigsalot from the Thirteen Thieves!”
“And I am, muahaha,” Sir Pigsalot exclaims. “Petrificus dragonio!''
In the nick of time, Asegreth bellows, “Tutellia vicus!” to create a protective barrier against the spell, but it bounces off of him and onto us! Oh no!
Mama Raccoon says, “Whyyy doo I feeeel sooo slooowww…”
“Meeee tooooo…” mumbles Kila. “Heyyyy, HHHiiinnndeerbelll, nooo fairrr, you dodgedd ittt, but howww?”
“Crikey, what have I done!” Asegreth cries at seeing his friends moving at the speed of snails.
“Ha-ha, ha-ha! Bonus point!” mocks Sir Pigsalot who disappears with a POOF!
“Oh no! How could this have happened? That evil Sir Pigsalot! My mom is going to turn into a rug if we can’t get to moving! What can we do now?” I sob.
Asegreth looks thoughtful as he considers what he should do to help. “Aha!” he yells happily, “The alchemist can help us! He can brew a counter and your friends will be back to normal in no time!
''Thanks Asegreth, you're the best.''I say happily.
***
''Ahhhhhh,I feel much better, thanks.'' says Mama Racoon.
''Me too,'' adds Kila,''I don't feel slow anymore!''
''Hey everyone,I said,''Sir Pigsalot is sure going to steal those scents, I just know he's going to be back!''
''I know,'' says Mama Racoon calmly,''I've planned a trap for him, listen up:''
''I'm going to make a fake five scents of flowers...''

DONG!DONG!DONG!DONG!DONG!DONG!DONG!DONG!DONG!DONG!DONG!DONG Tiptoe, tiptoe, snatch! ''Heehee! I'm the best!I got the Five Scents of Flowers!''says Sir Pigsalot, crrrrreeeeakk! Goes the door as we barge in.''Uh-oh!''
''Ah-Ha! I got you now! ''yells Kila happily.''
'' Petrificus!''roars Asegreth.
''AAAAaaaaccccccckkkkkkkk!'' says a now stone Pigsalot.
"Evedvio gloves''! A pair of silver gloves come flying towards Asegreth, but suddenly Snapper pops up and says''Hi guys... woah! you defeated Sir Pigsalot!''
''We defeated him with Mama Racoons help.'' I say triumphantly.
''Hey what are you doing with those flying gloves?''asks Snapper.
Asegreth replied,''I am going to punish Sir Pigsalot by putting him in these cursed objects, but I will need to put these Enchanted Gloves given to me by a Leprechaun on my claws.
These are the cursed objects I will put him in:
1 gold locket ,
2 silver chests ,
3 bronze boxes ,and
4 diamond caskets.
''Why do you need to put him in that many cursed objects?'' inquires Kila.
''I need as much as possible so if he gets out he still has a lot to go, plus he will be tickled the whole time by invisible forces. If his henchmen the Thirteen Thieves try to rescue him, they'll get turned to stone too!" Asegreth replies.
''Well, if he manages to get out of everything, what will we do?'' I ask.
''Ahem, there's no way for him to evade his fate .He will be trapped forever.'' Asegreth asserts confidently.
''Oh, about the Five Scents of Flowers, we need to hurry making the soup. There's only eighteen hours left!" Kila reminds us hurriedly.
''Certainly,I'm already making it for you.''
As we turn our heads, we see a cauldron and a spoon in the air mixing some goldenish ingredients. We hear a clear crystal ding, and the cauldron and spoon fly back to their original places. What's left of the ingredients is now in a bottle in hovering right in front of us!
