Forest Adventure
My name is Hinderbell and I am a squirrel .Today Bob is very, very, angry!
Yesterday I smashed his bone, so aaaah!
Mama Racoon’s babies are so good at that!
Bye the way, wondering who’s Bob, I can tell you he’s the world’s Most pesky dog!
I’m planning a trap for him,
I will dig a hole then put grass and leaves on it. Bob will try to get me on the other side. He will fall in.
After Bob falls in, I can collect my nuts in peace.
P.S. I put very sharp thorns on the bottom.
Today I got 196 acorns and 200 walnuts.
Is that enough? It’s really, really time prepare for winter. Been busy last week.
I like to organize so I’m drawing my plan.
I need lots of room so I should dig a staircase
To my future underground storage
I need doors so I will use big bank pieces, with tips of brancher for doorknobs with some stolen cartridges to pin it down.
I should draw a map to navigate and remember.
Bob fell in the hole. He looks very angry. What should I do? Barry and Winifred the hunters nearby shoot me. It’s time to trick them! I have a big plan to throw acorns at the hunting dogs’ heads and make them fall in the trap. Mama Raccoon is going to distract the dogs by making a trail of meat, that leads to the hole. She stole a wild hog ham from the hunters’ kitchen and put in the pit. I have been spying on the dogs trying to get the ham for days. It was a specially cooked ham for the dogs Christmas dinner. They like this ham so much that they will anything for it, even pile up into a pit!
Once the dogs fall in, I’ll leap on them and put a net over the hunters and the pit to trap them all! The whole forest is going to celebrate their entrapment because they won’t be hunting us anymore!

Barry and Winifred fell in the hole, but they got out a few days after! Oh no!
They are sure to plot revenge against Mama Racoon & me! A couple days later, Barry & Winifred sneak up the tree we were sleeping. I woke up We’re in trouble but I can’t get out! They take us to their house, and I overhear that they are going to get skinning supplies. Uh-ho! I need to think of a plan to escape! And quickly! Ms. Kit the fox slinks in the hunters’ house through the doggy door. She heads for the sausages in the kitchen, and before she gets there I say, “Psst, I need some help! Would you mind chewing through the rope for us? We only have three hours before the hunters come back. I can help you get the sausages!” M.s Kit replies” Okay, but if I chew through this, the you need to go straight to getting my sausage for me.”
“Sure thing!” I say to Ms. Kit, “I will do it as soon as possible.” Click! The hunters are back. I scratch at the door. Ms. Kit jumps from lamp to lamp trying to find an open window. “Uh oh! What should we do?” Says Mama Racoon. “I know!” Says Ms. Kit, “I distract the hunters by making the dogs sound the alarm.” Mama Racoon can take my place so I can concentrate on biting Hinderbell free.” “Gotcha!” Says Mama Racoon. “That’s good, but we need to act quickly. Now!” Click! The hunters are here. Winifred gives an ominous shout! Barry starts to fire his gun. Ms. Kit already gnaws me free. I get the sausages. “Criss alert!” Says Mama Racoon, “The dogs are overpowering us!” The hunters have a plane! Let’s get going from there!” Says Ms. Kit. Ms. Kit finds the keys and starts it up hastily! But the dogs clamber up at the last minute! “What should we do?” I ask. Mama Racoon says “We should do loops!” “Good idea.” Everyone says. Ms. Kit starts to do loops by pressing a button, whirr,“Uh Oh!” says Ms. Kit. “It looks like the systems are shutting down fast!” I say, “We are crashing!” BANG! CRASH! BOOM! CLANG! CLATTER! BAM! CRACKLE! COLLAPSE! Ouch! “That was fun and dangerous.” Remarks Ms. Kit. Angry shouts fill the air. Barry and Winifred are back! The dogs whine in confusion. “We really, really need to do something!” I suggest, “Girls, it is time for a plan.” Says Ms. Kit. Mama Racoon chimes in, “I’ve got it. I know a nearby canyon and river that we can lure the hunters in and wash them away!” “Good thinking.” I say. Ms. Kit asks” But how can we lure the hunters into the river?” I answer, “We should hope on your back, Ms. Kit, so that we can taunt the hunters.” Ms. Kit exclaims, “Brilliant! Get on my back and let’s get to it!” Boing! We all jump on Ms. Kit’s back and Ms. Kit races towards the hunters to start taunting them. Just after the first few taunts, the hunters turn around and start to chase her.
Ms. Kit runs faster and faster. Just when hunters are about to reach her, PLOOF! They fall in the river and Ms. Kit jumps over the river just in time. AAH! Scream the hunters as they are being carried away. “Phew!” We all say. As we watch the hunters disappear from view. I say “Look, there’s a boat! We can row back to forest.” Ms. Kit interrupts, “But we need some supplies from the hunters’ house for a celebratory dinner now the hunters are gone.” “Good idea.” I say as I begin rowing back in the direction of their house. Back at the house we look at the storage and the cupboards. Everybody has pilfered silverware, plates, food, matches, and wooden chairs, and load them up on the boat. Once at the forest, all the animals start cheering because they have heard how we have defeated the hunters. Everybody feasts and dances through the night. It is a merry evening for the whole forest.
