Our Mission

Welcome to the Water Innovation, Sustainable Energy (WISE) lab under the direction of Dr. Xiangyu Li in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The WISE lab aims to address challenges in the water-energy nexus, such as energy crisis, water scarcity and climate change. We probe fundamental thermal science, leverage materials innovation, and realize novel system designs to improve energy conversion, building efficiency and water sustainability.
