The WIRED Lab in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellow position in the area of Wearable Robotics. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of wearable robotics through cross-disciplinary innovation.
We seek an accomplished and forward-thinking researcher with a strong track-record of publications in the field of robotics, soft actuation and data-driven control. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive innovation and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team. The position is part of an ongoing research initiative focused on developing next-generation wearables.
Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Computer Science & Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institute/university.
Research experience in Robotics, Soft Actuation or Data-driven control with a strong publication record in reputed journals/conferences.
Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting defence may also apply.
Expertise in robotics, mechanical design, modelling, prototyping as well as conducting user studies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent research skills.
Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary research team.
Hands-on expertise in soft actuator design or wearable robot design.
Familiarity with soft actuation, sensing or learning-based control.
A strong publication record in robotics-related venues such as ICRA, IROS, ICORR, RAL, TRO, and IJRR
Initially for 1 year, extendable based on performance and project requirements.
Fellowship as per ME Department guidelines and IIT Bombay norms.
