Ship scrapping, also known as the ship recycling is a process of breaking down of a ship or a vessel when it reaches its end of life. The process of ship recycling or scrapping involves the dead ships to scrap which particularly involve taking out of the machinery and which are sold to the second hand market or are used for new ships or for other applications.

The steel scrap that is obtained after the whole process is then liquefied and used again for building new vessels. The Steel that is liquefied is renovated which again proves to be useful for other industries also. · Then the scrapers scrape out the useful items like flags, plumbing, electrical wiring, electronics, furniture and machinery. These are then reused and sold into the second hand market.

· Then the actual ship scraping takes place where the scrapers are armed with a number of torches, sheer elbow greases and sledge hammers so as to break down the ship into a number of parts.

· All the toxic materials that are scrapped out of the ship are disposed off safely and all the useful materials are kept safely so as to reuse again. This helps in saving the resources in a manner that can help the nature as well the industry.
