About Event

This international symposium on Role of localization/positioning in 5G, IoT and e-healthcare will be organized in virtual mode by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, VNIT, Nagpur during 15-19 February 2021. This event is sponsored by Centre of Excellence, VNIT, Nagpur. This symposium will focus on different aspects of positioning in various applications of wireless communication such as e-health, IoT, 5G and upcoming vehicular networks. Positioning systems and location technologies have become significant components in multitude of areas such as road safety and navigation, personnel and object tracking, assisted living, cellular services and many more. The primary objective of this symposium is to introduce the aspiring researchers about different aspects of localization and positioning and also about related research activities in different international research institutions. Renowned academicians from internationally acclaimed universities/ institutes will deliver lectures on different topics related to user node localization in the wireless networks.

About CoE

Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Commbedded Systems: Hybridization of Communication and Embedded Systems, at Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur is established under Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP- II) in the year October, 2013. Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is a major participant in the venture. The main objective of CoE is academic and industrial collaboration; providing high quality training, product development and dedicated research. CoE has the entire required infrastructure as well as lab equipment for enhancing all round development. It is committed to play major role in central India as source of skilled manpower, technical know how and high end lab facilities in the thematic area.
