New Zealand Fancy Rat Society

The New Zealand Fancy Rat Society (NZFRS) was founded in 2024 by a group previously known as the NZ Registered Rat Breeders. Winnies Rattery was a founding member of the NZFRS and is currently the Seceratary of the society. 

The NZFRS is a supportive, friendly group who are focused on education and fun! The main goals of the NZFRS are to advocate for pet rats in New Zealand, provide support and mentoring for new breeders and rat owners, and create a list of people breeding ethically to help pet owners find good breeders when looking for new pets.
