Growing up in Windsor, Paula (Timlin) Cunningham participated in every sport
the town had to offer, from swim team, softball, soccer, tennis and gymnastics. At an
early age, Paula began to emerge as a stand out in several sports, winning many local
and state competitions, including Hershey State track meets and various tennis
tournaments. By the time she was in 8th grade she had developed into one of the top
soccer players in the state. She was selected for the Olympic development team,
select Olympic training camps, national player development and select regional teams
representing the New England States.
As freshman in high school, it was not surprising that Timlin found herself a starting
position on the varsity team and was soon making significant contributions on the field.
By her sophomore year, Paula had assisted Windsor High School in winning their first
ever State Championship in girls soccer (’92). Paula’s athletic success did not stop on
the soccer field. During her high school career she was also a significant contributor to
the girls basketball, tennis and lacrosse teams, earning varsity spots on all 4 teams for
all 4 years. During her career at Windsor High school, Timlin earned herself a total of
12- varsity letters, 4 -all CCC West honors, 3- All State awards and 1-State
Championship.
After high school, Timlin continued her soccer career at Saint Anselm’s College.
Where she continued her soccer success; becoming one of the college’s all time
leading scorers, in addition to being named to the all ECAC team and NE-10 freshman
of the year with 23 points (10 goals and 3 assists). She ended her freshman year with
helping her team to win the ECAC championship. During preseason of her sophomore year, Timlin suffered an unfortunate career ending injury. She was forced to turn her
time and attention away from soccer and toward her academics. In 1998, she graduated
Saint Anselm’s College with a BSN in nursing and upon graduation worked as an RN at
Middlesex Hospital. Three years later, she graduated Quinnipiac University (01) with a
MSN, FNP and began work as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Fairfield County.
Today, Paula lives in Fairfield, CT with her husband, 4 children and 2 dogs.
Although she did not return to competitive soccer, she remains physically active in other
sports and athletics. Over the years she has competed in several triathlons and other
local competitions, most recently winning the 2023 President’s Cup, a 120 member golf
tournament. Despite her athletic accolades and successes, Paula’s greatest and most
profound accomplishment is her family, in particular her 4 children. Paula’s children
have and continue to follow in Paula’s love for athletics. All 4 of them have and continue
to have their own successes on and off the fields. At this point in her life, Paula proudly
sits on the bench as a spectator.

Son, Brother and Father. Growing up in the North End of Hartford playing catch with his
brother Tyler in the backyard is where it all started. Whether it was football in the fall diving in a pile of leaves his dad raked up or baseball in the spring where he would be smacking homers with a Mark McGuire Nerf Baseball bat spending time outside for hours on end.
Starting to play Mighty Mights at a young age of 6 for the Jets in the West Hartford Youth Football League, as well as playing baseball for The Hartford North End Little League made a big impact on his love of the game for both baseball and football. Growing older transitioning to a faster speed game at the Pop Warner level, The "Hard Hittin" New Britain Raiders became a true family from the ages of 8-12 years old. Learning skills at the QB and RB position for years of playing organized ball there was no idea what high school football would bring to him. Becoming a starter as a freshman at WR was a true blessing in the year of 2008. Giving all praise to Coach Mark Welch for taking a chance on a 13 year old KID. From that point on a 1st Team All CT Team, 2x All State, 3x All-Conference, 2012 CT vs. RI Offensive MVP, 2011 Hartford Courant Player of The Year, 3x Team Offensive MVP, 2x Hartford Courant "Fab 15", 2x New Haven Register All State Team, Walter Camp Award Winner. With over 150+ Receptions, 58 Total Varsity TD's, 3,000+ yards receiving and record holder for 4 TDs and 4 Interceptions in a single game at Homecoming in 2011. Receiving an offer from Central Connecticut in 2009 during freshman summer going into sophomore year seemed to be the best fit. After the 1st game at CCSU receiving the NEC rookie of the week award with 5 tackles and an interception highlighted the transitioning from HS to College. Having a career total of 9 catches, 175+ yards, 3 Touchdowns with Central seemed to be a wrap for football within 2.5 years played. Working as an Industrial Engineering Mechanic now for the last 7 years has brought enlightenment to his knowledge with HVAC, Electrical, Machine Building and Repairs. This is only the start to something great for this young man at the age of 30.

Distinguished Contributer
Mike Spadafora was co-founder of the Windsor Youth Soccer Association in 1972. Mike started the soccer program because he did not want his sons to play football. The first year there were 100 children involved. When Mike resigned 15 years later, there were over 1,000 youth playing. Mike's model of his soccer program was requested and used by surrounding towns.
One of his proud accomplishments was asking the town to put soccer fields at Northwest Park. This happened with the efforts of the town and volunteers helping. He also got his son to put an irrigation system in. These fields allowed the travel teams to have soccer tournaments.
His work not only brought together children but also united parents and families for the benefit of the community. In 1995 he was honored by the Town Council for recognizing the importance of youth athletic programs as a means of teaching children the values of having perseverance and teamwork; teaching parents the importance of community involvement; and teaching the community the importance of investing time and resources in children.
