Colleen Mitchell Gallagher had a successful two sport career at Windsor High School. Playing both Field Hockey and Softball, Colleen registered many significant accomplishments including:

After Windsor High School, Colleen attended Assumption College where she was a member of the Field Hockey team all four years while earning her degree in English.
Colleen is currently a teacher at Clinton Middle School. She is married to her husband Tim Gallagher and has two sons, Brendan and Conor.
Robyn graduated from Windsor High School in 1993 lettering in Softball. During Robyn’s time at Windsor, she was selected to the Central Connecticut All-Conference team three times and was co-captain her senior year.
Robyn was fortunate to be on a team with so many talented players and Coached by Philip Mielcarz. Robyn was starting pitcher her sophomore, junior and senior year and led the team to one Class LL state tournament quarterfinal and two Class LL state tournament semifinal games (one of which went into extra innings!). Although they never won states, they did win the CCC West title all four years. In three years as starting pitcher Robyn recorded over 50 wins with only 10 losses; pitching 3 no-hitters, allowing 2 one-hitters, 10 two-hitters and 9 three-
hitters.
Robyn attended the University of Hartford after high school where she earned a degree in Psychology. She has been with Aetna (now CVS Caremark) for 21 years where she held various roles; she is currently a Business Program Manager with the Sales Effectiveness organization.
Robyn lives in Suffield, Connecticut with her husband Jeffrey and their four fur-babies. She is mother to two children: Caelee Sorto (23) and Brenden Sorto (17) and stepmother to Jillian (26), Matthew (24) and Kristen (22). Athletics have remained an important part of Robyn’s life as she has embraced the role of multi-sport mom.
Jesalyn graduated from Windsor High School in 2008 and played soccer and lacrosse all four years. She received multiple All-Conference awards and team recognitions in both sports. She was co-captain in soccer for two years and co-captain in lacrosse for one year. She was selected to the All-State lacrosse team her senior year.
Jesalyn went on to become a two sport athlete at the University of New England for four years and won the UNE Female Senior Leadership Award for the 2011-2012 athletic year. In soccer, she was a three-time TCCC Defensive Player of the Week, served as co-captain her senior year, named to the All-TCCC Women’s Soccer Team her junior and senior years, and selected to play in the NEWISA Senior Bowl game her senior year. In lacrosse, she was named UNE Athlete of the Month, co-captain her junior and senior years, and selected to the All-TCCC Women’s Lacrosse Team her senior year.
After graduating college, Jesalyn moved to Seattle, WA where she still resides today. She coached girls’ lacrosse for five years and regularly played Co Rec soccer up until recently. She now stays busy playing with her dog, Cedar, and mountain biking with her fiancé, Levi.

John begin his career as a Warrior playing for Coach Tylon Smith for the freshman team. He then became a starter for Coach Ken Smith on the 1999 state championship team as a sophomore. He went on to be a 1,000 point scorer for the Warriors, earned first team all-state his senior year for both The Hartford Courant and New Haven Register.
After graduating from Windsor, he attended St Thomas More Preparatory School for a post graduate year. There, he played for Coach Jerry Quinn where they finished 3rd in the NEPSAC league and graduated a total of 9 division 1 players.
From St Thomas More, John traveled to Baltimore, MD to attend University of Maryland Baltimore County on full division 1 scholarship. There he was a 3 year captain and earned America East second-team honors in his senior season, after leading UMBC with 13.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. John averaged 9.8 points per game in his career, amassing 978 points (15th in school history) in 100 career games with the Retrievers.
He then went on to play in the summer and fall season for Andrea Costa in the Italian Pro League 2.
After his playing career, he traveled back to Connecticut and begin his coaching career as an assistant to the head coach at Fairfield University for Ed Cooley. After serving with Fairfield, he returned to UMBC to begin his first of two stints with his alma matter and served under his former coach Randy Monroe. In his first season as an assistant coach, he helped guide the Retrievers to the America East conference championship game. The following season he went on to recruit fellow Windsor native Adrian Satchell, who earned first-team all Rookie America East honors. John went on to recruit 9 all league players in his 7 total years at UMBC.
Following his 7 years at UMBC, John was named the head coach at the John Carroll School, a private high school in the Baltimore Catholic league. In his first season, he guided the team to the league semi-finals with 26-12 record, along with having 2 of his players earning first team all league. In his second year as head coach, his team would go on to play in the National Hall of Fame Classic in Springfield, MA where they played on ESPN, as well as return to Windsor High and play in the Paul Cody Classic. They went on to win an MIAA Championship and finish 2nd in the Baltimore Catholic league. During John’s 2 years at John Carroll, him and his staff helped a total of 9 young men earn full athletic scholarships to both division 1 and division 2 schools. He coached young men that went on to play at University of Washington, Texas A&M, Rutgers University, Towson University and St. John’s University. He was also head coach to Immanuel Quickly who played at the University of Kentucky and was named SEC Player of the Year as a sophomore. Immanuel went on to be drafted 25th by the New York Knicks, where he currently serves as their back up point guard. In John’s last year as head coach, John Carroll finished the season ranked 35th in the country by USA Today.
For the last 3 years, John has served as a coaching consultant to St. Francis Academy’s boys basketball program, another private high school in the Baltimore Catholic League. In his first year with the program, the team finished as the #8 in the country and sent 6 young men on to division one institutions. In his second year with the team, they sent another 6 young men to earn division one scholarships and finished #12 in the county. John currently serves as the head coach of Nike Team Melo, a local AAU program sponsored by both Nike and Carmelo Anthony of the Los Angles Lakers.
While John was coaching at UMBC, he began flipping houses and in 2017 he became a licensed real estate agent. He currently lives in Cockeysville, MD with his beautiful wife Ashley and their 2 boys, Tre and Enzo.
In Coach Ken Smith’s 11th Season as the Windsor High School Boys Basketball Head Coach, the team rose to the occasion and continued his winning mantra of “It’s Not Who You Play, It’s How You Play”. This team ended the season with a stellar record of 23-2. The wins for Windsor did not end there for the 1998-1999 season by winning the CCC West Conference Tournament. They even went as far as defending their 1998 title by winning the State Championship again at the 1999 CIAC Class LL Tournament against Weaver High School and became “Back to Back” Champions!

The 1938 John Fitch High School Boys Basketball Team (aka Windsor), under Head Coach John Powers and lead by Captain John Kotcha completed a successful 15 win 3 loss season, earning the team a qualifying berth to the Central Valley Class M High School Tournament. The team won two of three games but lost the third to Branford 37-18. They were the first team from Windsor to finish as runner up in the State Tournament.
