Once again, in honor of Woman's history month  Windows for Women will be visiting the shops in  the business districts of  Maplewood Village and Springfield Avenue

Local Female artists will promote local businesses

Maplewood Business owners will showcase SOMA Women Artists

Each business will select images that they would like in their windows. All images will have sizes in their descriptors so that no one finds a piece too large or too small for their location.   You may select the work of multiple artists and you may not, at least initially select more than two pieces from a given artist.

All work is to be selected from our database in order to be part of this show. If you would also like to feature an artist INSIDE your store you may do so but our promotion will be limited to the window display.  If all  registered artists have been placed and you really want another piece in your window, please contact us and  you will be able to make additional selections. If you know of a local  female artist that you would like to see a piece or two of in your window, encourage her to apply.

We would like the exhibit to be inclusive and hope that every artist that applies will have at least one piece selected. If you would like us to select the work for you let us know but we would prefer that it be your choice. 

If you charge commission on the pieces you select for your window display, the commission is not to exceed 10% of the sale price, excluding tax.

We are hoping f  at  least 75% of all Maplewood Village Merchants and at least 50% of Springfield Avenue merchants participate. Merchants do not have to be female in order to participate.

On or before January 9th, you should receive and email to preview of the work that is available for you to choose from for your windows.
