Women in Machine Learning (WiML) organizes events and run programs to support women and non-binary people in the field of machine learning.

All participants in WiML programs and events, including the Mentorship Program, are required to abide by the WiML Code of Conduct.

Mentorship Program History

Pilot Program: 2021–2022

Our initial pilot program in 2021–2022 was our first step toward establishing a formal, long-term mentorship community within WiML. The focus of the pilot was on general career development in machine learning, and the participants ranged from students to professionals.

Specialized Ph.D. Applications Program: 20222023

Building on the success of our pilot, the 2022–2023 mentorship program narrowed its focus to support Ph.D. applicants specifically. This allowed us to provide tailored guidance throughout the Ph.D. application process.
