Contract Negotiations
APRIL 2019 WE HAVE A CONTRACT!!!

Dr. Johnson is 'flanked' by Deputy Superintendent Tim Terranova. Behind us all are the 7 members of the West Irondequoit Board of Education.
We know you all have been waiting, and it has finally happened. Shortly after this group photo was taken, Norm and Dr. Johnson both signed the paper on the table in front of them... the agreement for our contract!
It only took 649 days of being without a contract, arbitration, fact finding, a new superintendent, and MANY months of waiting to reach what we believe is a Very fair deal for us all.
We thank you all for your patience over the last 21 months, thank you to the members of the negotiating team who along with our officers held out for the best deal we could get for everyone, thank you to the Board of Ed, Dr. Tim Terranova, and to our new superintendent Dr. Aaron Johnson. We would also thank the members of WITA and IESA who we also without contracts for periods of time, and supported us throughout the process.
We made it!!!

At a special assembly meeting WIMEO held a vote to ratify the agreement signed at the Board meeting pctured above. Th ratification vote passed unanimously.
