We understand that travelling to the wedding will be quite a journey for some guests! Below you can read about the various options to get to Bornholm.
International guests will want to fly into Copenhagen Airport (CPH) as the entry point to Denmark.
Bornholm can be reached in 35 minutes by plane from Copenhagen Airport. The Danish airline DAT flies five times daily between Copenhagen Airport (CPH) to Rønne Airport
(RNN).
You can also take the ferry from Ystad in Sweden to Rønne on Bornholm, serviced by Bornholmslinjen. The journey lasts 80 minutes and there are 5-10 departures per day.
Driving from the Copenhagen Airport to Ystad takes about an hour. Travelling by train takes 2 hours.
If you are coming from abroad and wish to have a car during your stay in Denmark, the easiest thing is to get it from the car rental center at Copenhagen airport, and take it over on the ferry from Ystad. If you are planning to fly to Bornholm, you can rent a car at Rønne Airport. We recommend booking well in advance.
During the weekend, a car is not strictly needed as the location for the wedding and party are close. However, if you wish to explore Bornholm, this can be done by car, regional busses, or you can rent a bike at the nearby bike rental to tour the extensive bike roads on the island.
If you wish to use public transportation, we recommend downloading the app "rejseplanen."
