At Boston Scientific I spent a moderate portion of my time working in very early stage, exploratory new product development. I will provide a brief synopsis of the work efforts, however due to the NDA I signed I am not allowed to elaborate much. 

In short, the work centered around trying to bring the vision of a senior engineer to life regarding the integration of technology to potentially be acquired. I focused on developing test methods and fixtures to explore the feasibility of ideas, and reporting my findings back to the engineer along with any improvements or suggestions of my own. Additionally, I was able to build prototypes of a device idea and test it in an ex vivo model for feasibility and effectiveness. 

Working in an exploratory space was an interesting engineering challenge. I was able to develop my critical thinking skills and apply them to projects with little to no previous work having been done. Additionally, I learned when and how to apply my previous knowledge and experience to the project to work towards certain goals and explore outcomes.
