I am a Master's student at the Wilfred Laurier University where I study Business Economics. I have broad professional interests from data analytics, economic policy, and retail operations.
Professional Experiences:
During my tenure at the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, I conducted an in-depth analysis of the electric vehicle (EV) battery sector, identifying critical human capital needs to foster job creation and economic growth. At Indigenous Services Canada, I provided a director-level briefing, incorporating data visualizations and strategic insights to enhance understanding of Indigenous business data, with a focus on various industries, gender-based analysis, and distinction-based research.
My experience extends beyond economic research; at WatSpeed at the University of Waterloo, I led market research initiatives in the professional development sector. I also served as a Merchandise Analyst at Home Hardware performing category management and item reports and as a Corporate Strategy Analyst at Northbridge Financial Corporation, where I supported market research efforts to drive business expansion.
As for my economic research interests, it broadly focus on economic growth and development using econometric methods. My recent research examines the impact of interstate conflict on GDP per Capita through the application of various estimation methods with imputation to fill missing data gaps.
Personal Interests:
Traveling: I have been to nearly 20 countries, specifically East Asia and Europe. My personal favorite country I visited has been Taiwan!
Economic Research: I like researching today's and tomorrow's pressing economic problems.
Volunteering: Currently, I'm a student representative for my master's program and an Editor at the Laurier Business and Economics Review. Previously, I was a Consulting Director at 180 Degrees Consulting Waterloo, the Vice President, Retail at the UW Arts Student Union, a student representative for the UW Undergraduate Affairs Group, and so much more!
Science Videos: I love watching Veritasium, Joe Scott, Kurzgesagt, Miniminuteman, and more amazing creators who put a lot of time into making educational content!
