Regional Centers

Regional centers serve people of all ages with developmental disabilities and their families, infants with a significant developmental delay, high risk, or established risk for developmental disabiliy, and pregnant women who are at risk for having a child with this type of disability.


Harbor Regional Center serves nearly 15,000 people with developmental disabilities, and their families, who reside in the South Bay, Harbor, Long Beach, and southeast areas of Los Angeles County.




SCLARC serves the cities of Huntington Park, South Gate, Compton, Gardena, and Carson, as well as the South Los Angeles area.

Westside Regional Center serves the cities of Gardena, Hawthorne, and parts of Los Angeles



The California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and advocacy resulting in employment, independent living, and equality for individuals with disabilities.

DOR administers the largest vocational rehabilitation and independent living programs in the country. Vocational rehabilitation services are designed to help job seekers with disabilities obtain competitive employment in integrated work settings. Independent living services may include peer support, skill development, systems advocacy, referrals, assistive technology services, transition services, housing assistance, and personal assistance services.
