Wilfried A. Kisling

Hello and Welcome to my page,

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of International Economics at the Diplomatische Akademie Wien, Austria, and an Associate Researcher at the Faculty of History at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.

Originally from “Dribbdebach” Frankfurt, Germany, I studied International Business Administration in Germany and Spain. Interested in the idea of studying economic development in the long run and from historical perspectives, I obtained my PhD in Economic History at the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Spain.

My research is interested in the (historical) role of finance in trade, economic development, systemic stability, and nation-building.
