Hello and Welcome to my page,

I am an Assistant Professor in Economic and Social History at the Department of Socioeconomics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria, and an Associate Researcher at the Faculty of History at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.

Originally from “Dribbdebach” Frankfurt, Germany, I studied International Business Administration in Germany and Spain. Interested in the idea of studying economic development in the long run and from historical perspectives, I obtained my PhD in Economic History at the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Spain.

My research is interested in the (historical) role of financial institutions in trade, economic development, and systemic stability.
