What Volunteers Do and How Wiley Athletics Works:
Wiley Middle School offers a full athletics program for 7th and 8th graders, with each sport running during a specific part of the school year. Coaches share practice and game details directly with families, and volunteers help on game days at WMS or Rouse School.
Volunteers support athletes and coaches by helping with key game‑day tasks:
Food & Hydration: Pick up and deliver hot food, and help with hydration so athletes are fueled before their game.
Concessions Stand: Monitor the concessions stand at Wiley / Rouse. Concessions are one of our biggest fundraisers for all Wiley sports. Snacks and drinks at our home games and tournaments fuel athletes and parents.
Game Support: Support during home games, the 7th-grade teams play first, followed by the 8th-grade teams at WMS or Rouse School
Clean-up: Help with clean‑up after the last game of the day, including closing the concessions stand and tidying the area.
Wiley follows a consistent athletics schedule each year, and parent volunteers support teams before, during, or after their kids’ games to keep everything running smoothly.
