Habitat loss is one root cause of wildlife depletion in Wisconsin. The Council Grounds State Park Wildlife Habitat is meant to function as an education center, inspiring others to turn their homes into safe havens for Wisconsin wildlife.
There are currently 61 animals categorized as endangered and another 42 as threatened across Wisconsin. The Wildlife Habitat aims to educate visitors on the importance of protecting our natural resources
