The monarchs are a beloved and well-known butterfly across the country. Although not currently endangered, they are being closely monitored and will potentially be added to the list of federally endangered species.

The ONLY plant monarch caterpillars will eat is milkweed. Although it is not the most visually appealing plant, finding room for this native prairie plant in your garden is key to helping the monarch butterfly species live on!
