Great Question! For each person this is unique but generally, I’ll start by checking in with you to see what brought you to therapy and review the initial paperwork.
Next, we’ll review the goals of the session and establish the norms/expectations of our theraputic relationship.
After that, I’ll ask you lots of questions so that I can really understand your needs and objectives. If there is any question you're uncomfortable answering you can always say "pass".
I’ll also ask about other concerns regarding your sleep, nutrition, and exercise habits.
Remember, there’s no judgment here. The goal is for me to understand so we can develop an effective plan together.
Yes! I currenlty accept Aetna, Cigna, Capital Blue Cross, Quest, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. If I am not in-network with your insurance company, I will generate a customized statement (or "Superbill") that you may submit to your insurer for reimbursement.
If you are interested in using insurance, please look at the “Rates & Insurance” page or contact me for more information.
It depends. Many people start with sessions weekly and then gradually move to bi-weekly or once a month depending on their needs.
As your therapist, we will review your goals and progress every 6 sessions.
