Course Details

Participant Expectations

• Participants must attend three practicals/outings and at least five out of the six in-person classroom sessions in order to receive their certificate

• Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate in the course

• Alcohol and substances are NOT permitted at Wilderness Adventure Course activities.

• Accommodations: Participants MUST notify Sierra Club San Gorgonio Chapter if they need reasonable accommodation at least 7 days in advance of the course start date via email: socalwilderness@gmail.com

• Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancel for any reason before January 1, 2027 to receive a refund

  • Cancellation on or after January 1, 2027 will not receive a refund

  • If Sierra Club San Gorgonio has to cancel the entire course for any reason, participants will receive a full refund

  • Outings may be rescheduled due to weather, safety, or other unforeseen circumstances. Refunds will not be granted for rescheduled outings

• Medical Forms: Participants are required to complete a waiver and medical form prior to participation in practical outings

• Sierra Club maintains a zero tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior, and reserves the right to cancel a participants’ registration at any time
