Level 1 – Explorer’s Path
Perfect for beginners, families, and anyone looking for a relaxing outdoor experience. These trails feature gentle terrain, short distances, and well-marked paths. Enjoy scenic views and fresh air without the steep climbs—an ideal way to connect with nature at your own pace.
Level 2 – Adventurer’s Challenge
Designed for participants seeking a bit more excitement and endurance. These routes include moderate elevation changes, uneven ground, and longer distances—striking a balance between challenge and enjoyment.
Level 3 – Trailblazer’s Quest
Built for those ready to push their limits, these strenuous trails demand strength, stamina, and determination. Expect steep ascents, rocky terrain, and extended distances that test endurance. Reaching the summit or viewpoint is no small feat, but the breathtaking panoramas and sense of accomplishment make it all worthwhile.

Participant Expectations
Participants must attend all three practicals and at least five out of the six in-person classroom sessions in order to receive their certification
Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate in the course
Alcohol and substances are NOT permitted at WAC activities.
Accommodations: Participants MUST notify Sierra Club San Gorgonio Chapter if they need reasonable accommodation at least 7 days in advance of the course start date.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancel for any reason before January 1, 2026 to receive a refund.
Cancellation on or after January 1, 2026 will not receive a refund.
If SC SG has to cancel the course for any reason, participants will receive a full refund.
Outings may be rescheduled due to weather, safety, or other unforeseen circumstances. Refunds will not be granted for rescheduled outings.
Medical Forms: Participants are required to complete a waiver and medical form prior to participation in practical outings.
Sierra Club maintains a zero tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior, and reserves the right to cancel a participants’ registration at any time.
