Wild Bhutan Superfoods is a small-business registered under the Royal Government of Bhutan, licensed to trade and export Bhutanese wild cordyceps. We are based in Thimphu.
After working for almost 15 years at Menjong Sorig Pharmaceuticals as the chief procurement and marketing officer, Mr. Sonam Wangchuk resigned in 2019 and founded Wild Bhutan Superfoods. His deep knowledge and experience about the Bhutanese herbal industry is second to none.
From 2004 to 2018, Sonam was responsible for planning, budgeting and procurement of all medicinal ingredients including cordyceps, at Menjong Sorig Pharmaceuticals. He developed a vast network of local suppliers and maintained very close relationships with them. He represented Menjong in the cordyceps auctions in Bhutan several times. In addition to sourcing cordyceps, Sonam was an integral part of the team that developed CordyPLUS and CordyACTIVE, flagship cordyceps-based products of Menjong.
